Our Professional Rug Cleaning Process
We follow a multi-step cleaning process designed to thoroughly remove embedded dirt, stains, and allergens while preserving the rug’s colours, fibres, and structure.
1. Inspection and Fibre Testing
Each rug is inspected for type, condition, colourfastness, and cleaning needs. Whether it’s a Persian rug, shag pile, or modern area rug, our tailored approach ensures the safest and most effective method.
2. Dusting and Dry Soil Removal
We use powerful dusting equipment and vacuuming techniques to remove fine dust and dry particles trapped deep within the fibres—often missed during regular home vacuuming.
3. Pre-Treatment of Spots and Stains
Stubborn stains are individually treated using rug-safe stain removers. Our team handles common issues such as:
- Wine, coffee, and food stains
- Pet urine and odours
- Ink, makeup, and mud
4. Deep Cleaning (Steam or Dry)
Depending on your rug type and condition, we choose between:
- Hot Water Extraction (Steam Cleaning) – Ideal for synthetic and durable rugs.
- Low-Moisture or Dry Cleaning – Best for delicate fibres like wool and silk.
5. Rinsing and pH Balancing
We ensure every trace of detergent and dirt is thoroughly rinsed out, leaving no residue that can attract more dirt.
6. Controlled Drying
Rugs are dried in a climate-controlled environment to prevent shrinkage or damage. Our drying process also helps restore fibre shape and rug softness.
7. Final Grooming and Quality Inspection
We finish with fibre grooming and a complete quality check to ensure the rug is clean, soft, and fresh before being returned to you.
